Yesterday, when I updated, I couldn't write too much because the stupid website took an hour to load and I am not overexaggerating if anything, im under exaggerating. Anyways, I had a lot more to say, but I forgot to bring my notebook with me tonight that I write everything in so I will have to write this from memory.
Today, I taught Kate's class all by myself lol. I feel so grown up haha. It was kind of chaotic at first but thats because I had kindergarteners and first graders and when I observed Kate on Tuesday and Thursday this past week, she didn't have the kindergarteners so I had to kind of wing it when I was teaching them, but it went well. I really prayed that God would help it not be too out of control and I felt like He answered in amazing ways. I was so sure that I was just going to feel like I had no idea what I was doing, but God was in control and He constantly reminds me of that. The day went really well overall. The children listened and I was even able to finish everything in time to get to know the children on a personal level and talk to them as a friend would to a friend which if we're talking how we act, I'm kind of on their level :)
Let me introduce you to my class. We have the first graders. Darnell and Windell who are twins. Darnell is a genius! He can read and write as well as a third grader and he continues to amaze me. Windell isn't as bright. We think he has ADD though because he cannot focus to save his life. He makes up for it in his kindness and how much he genuinely cares for people. Also, he talks about his cat, Little Wiskers, all the time. It's so cute. He says Little Whiskers cuddles with him. What a cute image? Then we have Junior. Hes a little rockstar. Any chance he gets, he's drumming on his desk as if it were a drum and using any utensil he can find to make some noise. It's adorable, but maybe just a little disruptive lol. Then we have Joulkania. Shes so cute and never ceases to smile. She tries so hard at her school work too. You'd never know she just started in the winter 3 months behind all the other students.
And then we have the kindergarteners. I just met them today, but they're as sweet as can be. We have Marc-Allen who loves to make you smile. He will say anything to get you to laugh. I love it and he can definitely bring joy into anyones life. Lastly, we have Abbie. She is the most beautiful girl you will ever see. And she is very meticulous with her work. She's already brilliant. She's going to go far.
Tomorrow is Saturday and I get an entire day to do whatever I want. I'll probably read Forgotten God by Francis Chan. I started it yesterday and I am already 120 pages in. It is so good and I encourage anyone who hasnt read it to pick it up and read it. It's worth it. Challenging. Maybe even convicting, but definitely worth it. It talks about how we need to let the Holy Spirit lead us and how in American Society today, we have neglected the Holy Spirit and forget that He is alive in us. Some people let the Holy Spirit lead but only for mere attention or for the purpose of witnessing miracles. Miracles are great, but they come from God and that's who should get all the glory not any one of us. That's a little snipit of what the book talks about. Pick it up. You wont be sorry.
I think that's all. I'll try and update next week sometime but only one person has the internet down here and he's leaving for the weekend. Also, it's really hard for me to comment back to comments on this blog. So, I'm sorry for not commenting back to anyone, but know that I am getting them (they go to my email) and all of the comments are very much so appreciated. Thank you all for your support and prayers. I love all of you (I know, crazy that I just said I love people. If you know me, you should be surprised haha). Know that your support and prayers have not gone unnoticed. Thank you.
